Treatment of childhood obesity in Wrocław – support and pharmacological therapy
Pharmacological treatment of obesity in children is an element of a comprehensive therapeutic procedure, used in justified cases and always under strict medical supervision. The aim of the therapy is to support weight loss and reduce the risk of health complications associated with overweight and obesity.
During the consultation, the doctor conducts a detailed interview and assesses the child’s health, taking into account, among other things: lifestyle, eating habits and possible co-occurring diseases. On this basis, a decision is made to include pharmacological treatment as a complement to non-pharmacological measures.
An important element of therapy is regular monitoring of treatment effects and adapting the procedure to the patient’s needs, which allows for safe and effective support of the weight loss process and improvement of the child’s overall health.
